Kris's Rally Sweden preview

Sweden is a chance for us to have a fresh start after our frustrating event in Monte Carlo, and I’m really looking forward to it. We had a nice run in shakedown this morning; we learned some things and our speed was quite good, so I’m happy.

Of course, a few drivers decided to save their tyres, because there’s this rule where the shakedown tyres come out of our total allocation for the event. But of those who did do runs, there were only a few tenths of a second between the top four or five cars.

We’ve a superspecial this evening, which looks like quite a tricky little stage. And I don’t think it’ll have any snow at all; it’ll just be pure ice, probably, so it’ll be a challenge.

As for the rest of the stages, they’re in good condition but they are going to keep us on our toes. There’s a good platform of ice but while there’s a decent amount of snow in places, I don’t think there’s going to be enough for proper snow banks. The high speeds with no snow banks always adds an extra element to what we have to contend with.

But I’m happy, confident, and really looking forward to getting stuck into the full stages tomorrow. Let’s just see where we end up.
